Fire Emblem Heroes – How to Change Your Name

When you start Fire Emblem Heroes, there’s a lot of information that pops up at you, including where you have to enter your name. It’s easy to accidentally tap too fast through the various user agreements and other stuff and end up with the default name. Unfortunately, the option to change your name isn’t readily apparent in Fire Emblem Heroes, but don’t worry, you’re not stuck with the first name you chose. This guide will take you through the steps to change your name in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Changing Your Nickname in Fire Emblem Heroes

To get started changing your name in Fire Emblem Heroes, the first thing you need to do is return to the main menu of the game where you can see your castle and your heroes. When you’re on this screen, tap on the Misc. button on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.

Once you’re in the Misc. menu, you still won’t see an option to change your name. For some reason, Nintendo and DeNA decided that changing your name should be filed under “FAQ/Etc.” Press the FAQ/Etc. button and a new menu will appear. Within this menu is the Change Nickname option.

Select the Change Nickname option, and you can change the default name if you accidentally chose that, or from any name you chose when you first started the game. There’s no limit to how many times you can change your nickname in Fire Emblem Heroes, but there are some rules on what nickname you can choose. Your nickname must be no longer than 12 characters, but you can use spaces. Additionally, there are some special symbols that you can’t use.

Once you’ve changed your nickname, you can return to the main menu and continue playing Fire Emblem Heroes. If you get lost during the process, you can use our video guide above as a visual aid to help you change your nickname.
