Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers is coming to Nintendo Switch, a boxes for the game have already started showing up in Japan. A close examination of the box and art – and some translation help – seems to reveal a first-person mode called Unleash! Ha DO Ken designed for the new Joy-Con controller.
The box (via Nintendo Everything) shows a screenshot with a the player in first-person fighter off a bunch of Shadaloo soldiers, with a timer at the top of the screen. Whether this is an actual mode or just a mini-game is unclear, but it could be more of a shooter than actual fighter.
Another interesting aspect is the name of the mode: The game box messes with the Japanese spelling of “hadoken” changing it to haDOken. Not sure what it means exactly other than a potential play on words.
We saw a bit of what we thought was USF2 in the Nintendo Switch reveal in January, and Capcom has released some basic details about the game, including a Evil Ryu and Violent Ken as final challengers.
Capcom has not yet given a release date for the game.
